From bows and arrows to fishing nets and technological gadgets. From walking distances to airplanes and rockets. From horns and trumpets to cell phones and internet. From strict families to open and understanding parents.
The society is changing fast. We are very much lucky to have traversed this life and have better things and better lives. The human mind is very intelligent to have made numerous advancements that made social living more comfortable and easy to live.
Social change however is also a threat to man. With social change comes also the deterioration of the natural resources and holes in the ozone layer. We are all aware of that now. The more fuel we burn, the more carbon gases we give to the atmosphere that makes it thinner. By the time we used up our fossil fuels, we also must have used up great parts of the ozone layer making the earth hotter than usual. This is very alarming.
Social change is not only concerned with the science and natural tendencies of objects and things but the people who made these changes happen. Our society has morph from very concerned individuals to a not very concerned one. People are more into the modern gadgets now and less concerned about relationships. They are more into social gatherings with strangers than social and intimate meetings with families. We are getting richer yet getting really poor. We are advancing yet we are not.
The society depends on us. The earth depends on its people. We are the maker of our world. We are the ones who make the future generations that will either flourish or destroy the earth.
In all our endeavors, social change has been constantly changing. For better or for worse, it is we who decide.
